First IMProGlyco publication

The first article acknowledging the IMProGlyco project has been published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. This publication includes contributions from one of our project partners as a co-author, Iain Wilson from BOKU. You can read the full article via its DOI.

All researchers have now started with the project

We’re excited to announce that all researchers recruited to the IMProGlyco project have now begun their work. The team includes seven postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, who are collaborating across partner institutions to advance the project’s scientific goals.

Kick-off meeting held in York

The project’s kick-off meeting was held at the Guildhall in York, bringing together project partners to discuss key operational matters and review the work packages. This helped to plan research activities, milestones, and deliverables for the first six months, and set the stage for the project’s next steps.

The IMProGlyco project has been featured in a recent news article published by the University of Leeds. The piece highlights the project’s scientific goals, international partnerships, and the potential impact of our work in advancing glycoscience and improving understanding of complex protein–glycan interactions.

The feature showcases how IMProGlyco brings together researchers across Europe to address key challenges in biomedical glycoscience. It emphasises the collaborative nature of the programme, the interdisciplinary training opportunities it offers early‑career researchers, and the innovative approaches being developed across our network.
